A 1981 military shelter.
Completely reimagined.

The living quarters are built around an FM2 Zeppelin Shelter from 1981 — an original German military box that came fitted to the truck. We kept the shell, stripped pretty much everything else, and rebuilt the interior to suit our needs.

Fully self-sufficient with a big electric setup, a composting toilet, hot shower, a washing machine, Starlink, and a 140×200cm bed. Double-glazed tempered glass windows with blinds and mosquito screens. 300 litres of fresh water. 900 watts of solar. Everything we need, nothing we don't.

24V Victron system.
Built for indefinite off-grid living.

The entire system runs on 24V Victron — 400Ah of lithium storage fed by 900W of solar, a 5000W Victron inverter/charger, a DC-DC charger from the alternator, and shore power when we need it. A Victron Cerbo GX monitors every watt in real time. We can run the air conditioning, fridge, freezer, and full kitchen for weeks without plugging in.

230V distribution is handled by a Schneider Electric panel with individual circuit breakers for every load.
